The company SmartGreenTec AG was first established in 2009 in Zurich, Switzerland, and has since grown into a multinational group of companies with subsidiaries and partner offices in Hong Kong, Jakarta, Qingdao, Shanghai, Moscow, Novi Sad, Munich, Leipzig and Nuernberg.
In 2012 SmartGreenTec Philippines was established by Martin Metzger in Quezon City, Philippines and initially run as an Enterprise, but the company was incorporated as SmartGreenTec Philippines Corp in 2019.
